Health Education Association of Nepal (HEAN) released the 6th Volume of Journal of Health Promotion on 20th Shrawan 2075 amidst a grand programme at Mahendra Ratna Campus, Kathmandu. Prof. Dr. Shiva Sharan Maharjan, president of HEAN chaired the program and Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Gautam, Dean of Faculty of Education, was the the chief guest of the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Yogendra Pradhananga and Prof. Prithu Charan Baidhya joined the release of the journal as the distinguished guests. Advisors of HEAN Prof. Dr. Ram Krishna Maharjan and Prof. Dr. Hum Bahadur Baruwal; editors of the journal Prof. Dr. Shyam Krishna Maharjan, Prof. Dr. Bhimsen Devkota and Prof. Dr. Laxmi Bahadur Maharjan; and around 40 distinguished and life members of HEAN were present in the programme.

On the occasion, chief guest of the program Prof. Gautam said that he felt very happy and proud to release the 6th volume of the journal. In his remarks, he stressed that the scope of the publication should go beyond the purpose of promotion rather it should equally contribute to provide academic insights for the academicians. Prof. Dr. Yogendra Pradhananga, in his remarks, suggested that HEAN needs to widen the horizon of the journal covering broader areas including different issues of health education and promotion. Further, he urged to link the articles published in the journal with contemporary philosophies and paradigms of health education and promotion..

Prof. Prithu Charan Baidhya, another guest speaker, also stressed on making the journal articles more rigorous and trustworthy to raise to the global status and recognition. Likewise, Mr. Nandaman Sthapit, one of the founder members of HEAN advised to include the articles focusing the history of HEAN and its endeavours.

On the same occasion, HEAN warmly honored and extended its best regards to its life members who have been appointed in various positions at Tribhuvan University. Prof. Dr. Bhimsen Devkota and Associate Prof. Krishna Prasad Dhakal have been appointed as the Chairman and Campus Chief of Mahendra Ratna Campus respectively and Dr. Deep B. Adhikari has been appointed as the Head of the Central Department of Education, Kirtipur.

The programme began with the welcome remarks of Associate Prof. Krishna Prasad Dhakal, General Secretary of HEAN followed by the highlights of the journal by the Chief Editor Prof. Dr. Shyam Krishna Maharjan. Mr. Yadu R. Upreti, Central Committee member of HEAN, presented vote of thanks to the participants, guests, chief guest and the host campus. Finally, Prof. Dr. Shiva Sharan Maharjan, President of HEAN officially closed the programme with his closing remarks. Ms. Madhavi Gautam, treasurer of HEAN, hosted the programme as the Master of Ceremony.
